In Cyprus during the first half of the twentieth century, salt expeditions were covered from just Larnaca’s only solar salt work and delivered for the local needs. However as a Mediterranean island, Cyprus soil is salty so its waters.

The particular salt’s difference from the usual one is that the first one is collected by workers who scrape only the top layer of salt before it sinks to the bottom of large salt pants. One of the most famous salts consumed not only in Cyprus but also exported and used abroad including Italy, UK, Ireland, Sweden, Romania etc. This Mediterranean salt can be used as a clean, bright finish to greens, vegetables and grilled seafood.
